Can you even remember the last time you did that?
I'm not suggesting you devote all of your time to enjoying yourself and forget about your other responsibilities. However, if you aren't taking at least twenty to thirty minutes for yourself at least three to four times a week, then your intuition is likely to become clouded by stress and by exhaustion. You'll find it more difficult to listen to your inner voice thus making it harder for you to follow its guidance.
What if you made a promise to yourself today that for the next week you'll set aside at least one half hour every other day of the week just for yourself? You can spend that time doing almost anything that helps you relax and feel happy. You could take a bubble bath, listen to music on your MP3 player, read a book, meditate, go for a walk, stare up at the clouds, look through photo albums, watch your favorite television show... the list of options is totally up to you.
The only rule is that the activity be something you choose and that you do alone. No matter how much you love your family and friends, you need to take some time to be away from them so you can reconnect with yourself.
As you do this, notice how much more relaxed you feel and how much easier it is for you to hear that inner voice guiding you down your path to success. Once you realize the power of taking time for yourself, it will be easier for you to say YES to making it a regular part of your day-to-day routine!
