It is a great feeling being young because at this time of your life you have great looking skin and vibrant looking eyes. You will also have lots of energy as well. However all that starts to change once you get older, as you will end up discovering yourself. In this article I want to discuss the eyes in particular, and the problems that you may encounter as you get older. We all assume that we will have perfect vision for the rest for our lives, and our eyes will not change that much. However deep down I think we all know that this isn't going to be the case in reality. For a start you may well notice that your eyes start to look a lot more tired looking as early as your twenties. A hectic lifestyle and a lack of sleep can result in dark circles under the eyes at a relatively early age, and this is often the first kind of eye problem that you will encounter (assuming of course that you haven't yet been told you need to wear glasses or contact lens). This isn't a major issue because it is just merely a cosmetic problem. You may well find that just getting more sleep and drinking a lot more water could be enough to improve your dark circles. Otherwise you could of course use some kind of eye cream or make-up to mask the appearance of these dark eye circles. Once you reach your forties or fifties, this is often when your eyesight starts to worsen. In some cases it can deteriorate quite a lot, and enough for you to have to wear glasses. Your eyes may start to look a lot worse as well because once you reach middle age, your eyelids will start to droop over your eyes a little bit, and this is not a great look at all. This can make you look tired all the time, and the youthful eyes that you once had are now a thing of the past. Luckily there are a few ways you can combat this problem. For example you can have upper eyelid surgery to remove some of the excess skin, or you can use some of the plastic strips that are now available that will lift your eyelids into a more natural position whilst you wear them. The eye problems don't stop there, unfortunately, because macular degeneration can set in during your later years. This is where your eyesight really starts to worsen, and in some extreme cases you can even lose your sight completely in either one or both of your eyes. So the point is that you can never really be confident about both the functioning and the appearance of your eyes. There are a number of problems that you may develop at some point in your life, and the reality is that they will not look so attractive as you get older. Therefore you just have to make the best of it and get on with your life if you possibly can.
