Most of the parents believed that if they successfully conceived one child, they proven to be fertile and will never have problems in conceiving. Unfortunately it is not true as even if you have successfully conceived once, might be you have fertility issues later in life. Sometimes couple face fertility issues and are unable to conceive even when they have had one child and this is known as secondary infertility. It is a very common problem that it accounts around 60% of infertility cases and yet many people are unaware of this infertility problem. Usually it is defined as the inability to conceive naturally after successfully conceiving one child in past. Generally couples are unaware of this infertility issue because of the misconception that once you can conceive you will always be. But the fact is that with the changing in time your body changes too and since you were last conceive, you and your partner may gained some weight or start adding unhealthier food in diet or many more. As we know small variances in life can makes great changes in reproductive health, your egg qualities and your partner’s sperm quality also changes with the time and may become the reason of secondary infertility. Abnormality with the ejaculation of sperm is the most common reason of secondary infertility. Most of the causes of secondary infertility are same as that of primary one which depends on both of the partners female and male. It is advisable to not wait more than six months if you are aged more than 35 years and keep remember as age starts growing, your fertility chances drops. For couples have young kids of their own it is difficult to cope with secondary infertility and just like any other infertile couples, they also need empathy and support from their friends and family members. They need time to understand the situation and make them prepared to handle with this trauma. Stress, frustration and sadness are the bottom line of infertility no matter it is primary one or secondary. So if you are facing the same problem it is good to consult experienced doctor or infertility specialist and you can also attain some consultation program that helps you in taking right decision for you and your family.
