Faith, Belief and John Mayer Sleeping with His Guitar

In today’s fringe-driven world, the more unique and experimental an approach is to just about everything inevitably captures a tremendous amount of notice and attention.

In terms of the most unorthodox of approaches, it works – simply by having faith and believing that it will.

It was a meaningful confirmation to me how crucial this kind of belief is in terms of unique approaches when I found interviews online conducted with John Mayer (famous contemporary bluesy-pop guitar/songwriter) who, by the way, my own musician/composer son, Lance, has always been considered to be, looks-wise, a dead ringer for.

Mayer revealed in these interviews how before he made it big, he would sleep every night with his guitar. He was convinced that doing so would make him a stronger, more creative musician, that his guitar would literally teach him what he needed to learn musically while he was asleep.

I thought, Wow! Now, here’s a guy who isn’t just driven to succeed through his own desire. He also understands on a deep, inner level the dynamics of the law of attraction and the abundant power that belongs to the Universe.

And look what happened: He went from being a starving artist literally living out of his car to reaping the kind of satisfying success that he has to celebrate and enjoy today.

What John Mayer did by sleeping with that guitar and believing it would increase his abilities as a musician is the equivalent of the rest of us going to bed every night believing that the sun will rise in the morning. We don’t question it, we don’t worry about whether ‘tomorrow’ will come. We simply have faith and fully believe that it will.

And sure enough, the sun rises. Tomorrow does indeed come.

Can you imagine what our lives would be like if we brought that same kind of deep faith and belief to our own hopes and dreams?

That sense of faith and belief is what I strive to inspire in all of my card reading clients when I share with them such insights from their cards as:

~ “Real, lasting love is coming to you.”

~ “You are traveling a path that will take you from merely having a job to answering your true calling professionally.”

~ Or even simply, “Soon you won’t be unhappy and hurting any longer.”

I’m committed to providing each of my reading clients with these seeds of faith and belief that will enable them to figuratively sleep with that ‘guitar’ in terms of their lives, convinced that it will teach them how to fulfill their deepest hopes and dreams.

By planting those seeds, they will grow and develop into a beautiful new Tomorrow.
You might be wondering, how is this possible when a reading recipient is struggling to feel such certainty, experiencing extreme hardship where faith and belief are conce
ed?

I’ve seen and spoken with enough mental health experts and therapists over the years who have all told me the same thing: Most who enter the counseling field, regardless of their area of expertise, were drawn to the profession to help themselves better understand and ultimately resolve their own personal innermost struggles.

It makes sense, if you really think about it. Who wants to visit a counselor or pay a life coach who has never known any hardship in their own lives, never dealt with inter-personal conflict and heartbreak, never experienced failure or suffering? All they can realistically do is spout their own higher-education book learning.

Mere theories, essentially.

And you’re supposed to draw guidance and cultivate confidence from that? Hardly. It’s those who’ve ‘walked the walk’ and even continue to ‘walk the walk’ who are going to be the most compassionate and inspiring while providing realistic counsel to their clients.
Wouldn’t you prefer to trust John Mayer’s “walk” after the abundant success he’s achieved as a result of his extreme faith? I certainly would!

Take a good look at your own life.

Examine your own level of commitment to what matters to you, what you hope for, dream of, wish for. Do you believe and have complete faith that you can achieve all that your heart desires? Or do you have doubts about your own potential for happiness, love, success and personal fulfillment?
