It is back to school time. Have you got everything you need for the new school term? Books? Stationery? Clothing? Based on the fashion shows for Fall 2007 to Winter 2007, black is big, so is color and some neutrals. The hourglass shape is hot. Patent leather in jackets nnare popular as are boots. So how does all that translate to your campus wardrobe? Will you be on your own or would you have someone to do your laundry? If you stay in a hostel, go for convenience. By convenience, I mean clothing and nnaccessories that need minimal care. The last thing you would want is to spend hours just ironing your clothes which would crease easily after a few hours nnwear. Crease-resistant, easy to wash, or better yet, wash and wear clothes are ideal for hostel life. Hostel Fashion is cool, in line with the trends, sexy, yet practical enough for actually living with nnwhen you are on your own. Campus fashion is pretty much the same, though if you have someone to iron your clothes for you at home, you could go for silk, which creases very easily. Other than that, the basics are the same. You will need: 1. Jeans - In campus, you would practically live in jeans. Throw on a pretty top or colorful sweater, play around with the accessories for your individual nnlook, but jeans are what most people wear most of the time. 2. Dresses - No need to look like one of the guys. Sometimes, it pays to look feminine. Besides, these instant outfits save you loads of time. No worries as nnto whether the top goes with the bottom. Everything matches. Put on a dress, slip on your shoes or boots and you are ready to face the world. 3. Pretty tops in fabrics that need minimal attention and do not crease easily. Jersey's a favourite because these drape well and are easy to care for. 4. Skirts - Sure, silk chiffon or voluminous skirts may look gorgeous on the catwalk but they would look silly o the campus. Then there's all that ironing nnneeded for voluminous skirts and careful laundering needed for chiffon that make these fabrics impractical. Instead, go for something easy to care for. Like nndenim or jersey skirts. 5. Boots which are downright sexy. If you can, get two pairs. Thigh high boots for your skirts and ankle nnboots for your pants.
