It is that time of year again when there are fall activities, celebrations and parties to attend every which way you seem to turn. The flyers are posted at work, the invites arrive in your mailbox, evites show up in your inbox and there simply doesn’t seem to be enough time to attend all. Be selective and arrive in a groomed state of mind to promote your personal success.

We are all thoroughly aware of what this season brings in regard to the fare that is served at such celebrations. Here are just a few to tempt your will-power and push your buttons: candy apples ready for a dentist visit, fried dough fitting to overload your food intake, french fries smothered with melted artery-clogging cheeses, cotton candy for a pure sugar high and many more potentially defeating dishes to sabotage your goals and desires. Not to mention they set you up for future disappointments. What’s a girl to do when faced with such dishes of budding devastation?

~Feed your tummy before you attend any fall festivity that serves junk food, which pretty much encompasses every single event. ~Choose your attire wisely and attend your party in a posh, fitted, curve confirming outfit to ward off any thoughts of over indulgence in the fare department. ~Be aware and take the steps that will increase your chances of walking away from your event filled with kudos of success and accomplishment. ~Drink lots of water prior to attending the event to ward off false hunger pangs and the desire to indulge at the onset of your arrival. ~Exercise prior to your appearance at your event. ~Attend your event with a sensible peace of mind. Everything should be allowed in moderation and nothing should ever be banished from your food selections. ~When indulging in your perfect choice, eat a few bites, enjoy the taste/smell/feel/flavor and then give the rest away or throw it out. ~Do not allow your inner voice to suggest feelings of defeat when choosing your desires.

It is up to you and only you to be strong, set yourself straight and make the difference in your life.
