Perfection is not achievable even in family. But we can try to achieve happiness in our home by being one.
Each of us has our own family. There are those who have a complete family, and there are people who are not lucky enough to experience a complete presence of their family. Our personality is formed by the way our family is present in our lives. Yet there are people who fight against the ugly situation in their family and continue to live life in a positive way. But if you ask any person, for them there is no perfect family.
How do you measure the perfection of a family? Is it about their living, their character, their achievements, their influence, or their power? There are no criteria in judging a family. Neither there are standards for a family to be called perfect. Every family has its own taint or bitte
ess and how they go through these bad experiences will measure their bond and relationship within them.
An Ideal Family
A home should be to the children the most attractive place in the world, and the mother’s presence should be its greatest attraction-- Ellen Gould White. An ideal family is a happy family. It does not necessarily mean they have the best of everything. From an ideal education to ideal house is not the measurement of family idealism. It’s about the harmonious relationship and love in the home. It is where the presence of parents’ love and children’s respect is felt and seen. With these character and presence within the family, happiness and joy is easy to flow in the home.
Your future should not be based on your family’s historyr
You set your goals not on the basis of your family’s background or history but what you wanted to become in the future. Although a big part of your goal comes from the influence of your family, you are still bound to set goals for your own future. There are many successful individual who have ugly past in their family or who have bitter experiences with their family. But they use this experience as their motivation to achieve the opposite of what their family has been. Do not take grudges against the bitter events in your family. Be it your motivation and your inspiration to be able to help them and to contribute to their goodness and better future ahead.
Do not compare your family with other familyr
You can’t compare your family with other family. Each family has its unique transition and unfolding of events. If you keep on comparing, the tendency would be insecurity and bad relationship with your family. Accept your family’s status and everything that has happened in your family. Everyone goes through a series of failure and disappointment in their family, and you are not alone. Instead, support and be understanding of the bitter events in your family. Be a family to your family because you are part of it.
Family is not perfect but we can choose to be a joy and happiness to our family. Do not find the longing for security with vices that will only ruin your relationship with them. Always include prayers and deeds for goodness in your actions, and do not find fault. Everyone has a family whether it’s biological or not. A family is not only about blood relationship, it’s also about love and good relationship with people you called family.
