St. Francis of Assisi - Was a Vegan and animals would flock to St. Francis for he would not hurt a single animal no matter what. His love for animals is well known.

The Disciple Peter - Was a vegan and that knowledge is stated in the Clementine Homilies… for Peter knew that no animal should be hurt, in any way, shape, or form.

Jesus - The author Keith Akers in his book “The Lost Religion of Jesus” supports that Jesus was a vegan. And Andrew Lindzey in his many books supports that Jesus was a vegetarian or vegan. And it’s said that Jesus threw out all the sellers who sold sacrificial animals at the temple and released the animals.

Mr. Rodgers - With his famous children’s television program said, “It's all vegetables, no meat in that at all. Of course, it's a soy food. These soybeans are already cooked. There's tofu. I eat a lot of tofu. You'll like it...It will be all healthy...I like being here with all these different foods. I like to keep trying to add new healthy foods all the time.”

Molby - The recording artist said, "I'm often asked, 'well, as a vegan, what do you eat?' which seems like such a strange question. What do non-vegans eat? Meat, cheese, milk, eggs? Vegans eat everything else. Indian food, Chinese food, Mexican food, Thai food, Japanese food, African food, and so on, and so on.”

Saint Clement of Alexandria - Was a vegan and said, “It is far better to be happy than to have your bodies act as graveyards for animals.”

Leo Tolstoy - Was a vegan and said, “For if a man aspires towards a righteous life, his first act of abstinence is from injury to animals."

William and Catherine Booth - Who started the Salvation Army were vegans and said, "It is a great delusion to suppose that flesh-meat of any kind is essential to health. Considerably more than three parts of the work in the world is done by men who never taste anything but vegetable, farinaceous food, and that of the simplest kind. There are more strength-producing properties in wholemeal flour, peas, beans, lentils, oatmeal, roots, and other vegetables of the same class, than there are beef or mutton, poultry or fish, or animal food of any description whatever.”

John Welsey - The founder of the Methodism said, “Thanks be to God! Since the time I gave up the use of flesh-meats and wine, I have been delivered from all physical ills."

Author Holly Roberts - Has written a book called “Vegetarian Christian Saints” about 150 saints who were vegetarian or vegans.

Jesus’s Brother James - James the brother of Jesus was talked about by Church historia
Hegesipp who said, “James never ate meat” and he also said, “James, the brother of the Lord, lived on seeds and plants and touched neither meat nor wine.”

The Great Spiritual Teacher Kabir said, - “Keep away from the man who eats meat, his company will ruin your meditation.”

And this list could go on forever. There are lots of spiritual people who did not eat animal products it the past… and those who don’t eat animal products now.

And science has proven in thousands of studies that animal products cause inflammation in the body and that inflammation causes disease… including heart disease, strokes, cancer, diabetes, liver and kidney disease, and on and on. And the American Dietitians Association has said that a vegan diet is very healthy for all ages.

Many Blessings to Everyone!
