Whenever my colleague Fred gazes at himself in the mirror, he feels a tug at his heart. "Help Me", says this heavy mass of fat that Fred sees staring at him with a pathetic look on its face. On Facebook (where else?), Fred again discovered Wilma just four months ago. Though she is working in Singapore as an artist for an international design company and Fred is in Manila working as a desk bound accountant, still Mark Zuckerberg makes their developing online love affair possible. This coming alumni party maybe the perfect setting for a proposition. But then Fred should not be seen by Wilma like that. Fred tells himself, "I should have told Wilma the truth about my physical dimensions, instead, here I am more and more anxious in finding the best ways to take off weight instantly". Fred has only three, short, months to do it. But could there be truly proven ways to take off weight immediately? For many corpulent people, desperation drives them to try out all extreme, irrational and maybe even injurious medications, methods, techniques, diets, food supplements, and exercise programs. These all come with almost impossible claims of getting you to lose weight speedily. Forget about it! Losing weight speedily should not be the end. Slowly taking off weight and keeping that weight off for good is the goal. To the detriment of your health you could reduce weight speedily. You could fast to the point of starvation. To take off 20 pounds in a week or 40 pounds in two, is possible but you will definitely be needing life support afterwards. Your situation should be met with the knowledge that with relentless efforts and purposeful resolve will you begin your fight to lose weight. The correct mentality is your initial step to success as with all other ventures and the challenges that go with it. Importantly, you must only undertake this under the medical supervision of a doctor that you trust. He will know what limits to put on your program of diet and exercise depending on your physiological state. The fact is, it is diet and exercise that will determine the weight you reduce. You have to acknowledge the truth that you will have to eat less. You will even have to change what you eat. With the correct eating regimen and the proper exercise, losing weight is a forgone conclusion. To have a vision in your mind to move you is what is vital. This is the impression that keeps my pal Fred motivated. He is all of 140 thin and trim pounds, handsome in a well-tailored tuxedo, with the pretty, white gowned Wilma, holding his arm and moving down the aisle.
