Fear Not The Unknown

Referring back to the email I sent out a few weeks ago about those things that keep us from making the changes in our lives that we SAY we want to make, I would like to briefly touch upon the third most common excuse: “I’m scared of what I might find out.” Could it be that we are so numb by our current way of being that we would rather play it safe and maintain our mediocre status quo than risk going through some tough times for the gift of experiencing life and all her magnificence? I have never witnessed a client go through the hell of her darkest experience and not come out on the other side feeling liberated, stronger, wiser and more confident than when she started. It is during the experience of these dark moments when you grow and evolve as a human being. It is in these dark moments that you get the privilege of facing your Self straight on and seeing what you are made of. “Believe in yourself. You gain strength courage and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face . . . You must do that which you think you cannot do.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt Your life is a journey. Some of the roads will be bumpy, some dark and lonely and some downright terrifying. You do not have to travel alone. You do not have to face your demons by yourself. But you will, one way or the other, have to face them. Why not do it on your terms?
