Feeling Uplifted or Uprooted?

It's been a busy week in some busy times, topped off this the interest in the day 11-11-11. Let's make it a little more exciting and give 11-11-11 a full moon. What has come out of this week? The wind storm, rains, and heavy traffic last night set the tone, and the thick blanket of fallen leaves on the narrow road to my home said it all. Times do change, and change comes from movement, not stagnation. How do we make our change? Do we find the surge of energy to be uplifting, or uprooting? Do we "rise above it all" or can our own wings move so quickly while and still allow us to hover in-place, as shown by the Hummingbird how simple it is to Walk With Wings.

Uplifting or Uprooting?

We are constantly in a state of change and movement, without it we would have no life. The secret is to maintain our sense of self throughout the changes within and the changes around us. Our world can be distracting. It's funny how we've outgrown the storyteller's of days so long ago, and the superstitions that kept us within unseen boundaries, but have we really? Look at how strong a presence our media has within our lives, and most of the time we only see their story. That's a lot of power. Politics too, casting out stories to sway our impressions, leaving us with little chance to sift out enough truth in the whirlwind that keeps us feeling uprooted. Life is full of powerful gusts, and at times we find ourselves carried away in the whirlwind.

Walk With Wings

Again the secret is to maintain a sense of self amidst those storms that come into our lives. Whether it is the gusts that carry the leaves dancing across the roadway or the challenge of maintaining the rush-hour in the midst of this amazing sight. The tapestry of colors as the dominant green fades away tells us a truth, that the season has changed, and step by step we adapt. We are both creator and creature, able to design our lives yet influenced by a world that follows its patterns no matter what. How do we deal with any changes in life, whether man-made or natural? Do we take a deep breath and let change be an uplifting opportunity or an up-rooting whirlwind effect? Each morning as I walk out my door and begin my journey for the day the hummingbird hidden somewhere in the branches calls out to me. That connection cannot be denied, though it is often overlooked in our busy lives. Call that soul-based greeting and gentle wave of energy love. Within the grace of that love I am grounded within myself, yet ready for the day. Hummingbird Love, it is presence in the midst of a busy world. We can be uplifted without being uprooted.
