Imagine the situation when you are playing a clever strategy game, your work still unsaved and your iPad’s battery is about to die. This needn’t be the case quite often if you follow some smart steps and your iPad will also appreciate the care you have been taking to improve longevity of the battery. Moreover, extensive charging can result in the battery run down, which you can avoid and help it work for ages with few simple steps. rn1. Decrease the Screen BrightnessrnScreen that is too bright will not only hurt your eyes, but also drains the battery. It is common sense that the brighter the screen is, the more power is consumed to maintain the brightness. The most workable solution for this is lower the screen brightness by going to the Settings ->Display and Settings, then opt for auto brightness, which will adjust the screen brightness based on the surrounding light. rn2. Use Wi-Fi, Bluetooth only when necessaryrnWi-Fi and Bluetooth are the dark horses where consumption of energy is concerned, which as such do not consume a lot of energy as compared to the cellular connection, but use up the energy even while not in use. Simply turn it off.rn3. Do not “Push” too muchrnDouble work is not only waste of time but also waste of resources. If you keep checking your emails on your computer or iPhone, don’t let the push notifications empty the battery life of your iPad too. Go to Settings and set the push to off. rn4. Turn off Location servicesrnDon’t let the location services be the culprit. The GPS or the Google maps have the tendency to consume the energy while running in the background. So, take heed of our advice and force quit these apps or any other apps for that matter to help extend the battery life.rn5. Say no to NotificationsrnDon’t let the developers of the apps get you. The apps are designed to send notifications so that they stay on the top of the pile. Turn off the notifications from the apps if they are not too important and who knows you can probably enjoy the peace of a gadget free life for a while. rn6. Shorten the Auto-Lock timernDoes it make sense to let the iPad run even after use and shorten the battery life? We don’t see a point, so all you have to do is cut down the auto-lock time to as short as 2 minutes and that will do the job. rn7. Restrict the Background App refresh rnApps running in the background keep refreshing to feed you with the latest information, however, in the process drain the battery life. Do not want this to be the case, turn the background App refresh for the unnecessary apps off. rn8. Check for the battery gobbler appsrnKeep tabs on the apps that eat up the battery life and force quit those apps. This will not only increase the battery life, but also helps your iPad run faster.rn9. Climate can be the causernTry to keep the iPads away from heat as much as possible as the excess heat can run the battery down. rn10. Graphic heavy apps can be gruesomernApps heavy on graphics can prove to be dreadful where battery life is concerned. Therefore, limit such apps usage to minimum and you can put the extended hours of battery life for a better use.
