In other words, the technique is meant to make the walls perfect for applying desired color. rnPrimer is also added to ensure the texture compounds stick properly. Thinned drywall mud is then added when the primer dries. Soon the texture compound dries; desired color is needed to apply on the walls. It can be said that texturing is the ideal technique to hide slight imperfections found on the walls. Chalkboard paint To make the entire wall into chalkboard, the professionals need to make use of blue painter's tape, a paint roller, paintbrushes, chalkboard color and surface primer. And for the removal of chalkboard, the knife is used to ensure a straight and clean edge during the removal of tape. The technique is used mostly to decorate child’s room. Patina For patina technique, different kinds of materials are required like oblong stipple brush, a thick rectangular brush, a round glazing brush, a small fine brush, two tinted oil-based glazes, oil-based color paint and several rolls. The wall is painted with a base color and leave to dry. Then after, the lighter glaze with the round brush is applied followed by darker glaze in the same way. This help in filling in the spots that are left by the first glaze. With the help of stipple brush, the glaze is applied in twisting and tapping motion. Finally, this technique is needed to blot the wet surface with the help of 4-foot section of crumpled cheesecloth. rnApart from these three, sponge effect is also counted among modern painting techniques which modern painting firms are using these days to enhance the appearance of home interiors and exteriors.
