So you've found a great product to market, researched your niche, the product has a great website, everything looks good... but you can't think of a keyword that you can possibly build an article around! You put some broad terms into a keyword tool, and nothing comes up that makes any sense for an article. Sound familiar? In this article I will cover finding some of the best paying keywords using an often overlooked feature of the Google AdWords Keyword tool - the "Website" field! You know how to research keywords - you know how to find the long-tailed best paying keywords that put you on page one of a Google search, but now you've got a product that defies the odds - it seems there isn't a worthwhile keyword to promote this product with - unless you want to write an article around a phrase that doesn't even make sense. But there have to be good keywords for this product somewhere - After all, the guy who owns the product is selling it, surely he has good keywords! If only you could find out what keywords he's using... Well, you can! Using the Google AdWords Keyword Tool, you can find out what phrases the owner of any site is using to optimize his site (or, at least what keywords Google thinks the website is optimizing for, which is close enough). If you've never been on the Google AdWords Keyword site (where have you been??) go there now at adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal. At the top of this screen, you'll see two fields - one labeled "Word or phrase" and the other, "Website". It's the "Website" field we will be working with.Type the merchant's web address in the Website field. Type the characters in the "Capcha" field below, and click the Search button.Viola! You now see the keywords that, if searched for, will bring up that site in a Google search. Some, or most of these will be the keywords that the site is optimized for. From there you can find a promising keyword, or dig deeper for other possibilities. The Google Adwords tool can put the best paying keywords at your fingertips!In Conclusion No matter how long you've been affiliate marketing, finding the best paying keywords can occasionally become a problem with some niches. Some niches seem to defy description - at least when the description has to fit in a 3-10 word phrase! The Website feature in the adwords keyword tool could be just what you need to overcome "marketer's block"!
