Find Wholesome Family Entertainment

As an member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, or Mormon, sometimes it can be wicked hard to locate good and fun Mormon family entertainment. It was after watching an hour of cartoon videos with my children that I decided that I was going to try and find an animated series fro my children to watch that not only was entertaining but was a product that taught my children good values and principals as well. My kids are still too young to read books by Orson Scott Card and other products from the LDS book industry. I was especially on the lookout for a product that showed stories from the Bible and Book of Mormon. I began my research on the internet and found that there were many places that I could find lots of quality Christian videos for families. After a little searching on the internet I found a product called the Living Scriptures. Before purchasing the Living Scriptures videos I began by looking at the Living Scriptures web site and reading all about the products that the Living Scriptures offers. I decided that the Living Scriptures was a great Mormon product for my family.This was precisely what I was looking for! I was able to pick up the Living Scriptures DVDs and tapes at my local Deseret Book store. The Living Scriptures is also available on Deseret book website online. Which is great because I was able to buy a wider variety of Living Scriptures videos than I would have if I had only shopped at my local store for the Living Scriptures. The Living Scriptures is a wonderful animated series retelling stories from The Book of Mormon, Old Testament, and New Testament. The Living Scriptures product brings to life many familiar scripture stories and helps to make them more accessible and understandable for children. It is wonderful to see my children learning about the scriptures.They are great bible story videos. It is a great feeling to have them ask for the Living Scriptures instead of other mindless and inane cartoon programs. And there are a lots of other products the Living Scriptures offers as well such as coloring books which are great for little busy hands while you are in sacrament meeting. It is wonderful to see my children look up to characters from the scriptures as hero's instead of movie stars or sports figures. The Living Scriptures is not the only product on the market that provides good or wholesome animated stories for children and families. There are lots of options and products in the LDS book industry and all over the web. Such as the Living Scriptures. Always make sure you do a little research about the Mormon or christian videos or other products you are looking to buy before you purchase. I have found a few Mormon products are not as accurate in their retelling of the stories from the scriptures and are also not as high quality as the Living Scriptures. Which can be disappointing for a child and contrary to what is actually in the scriptures which is frustrating as an adult. So make sure you read reviews about the product, read movie forums and most importantly talk to your friends to see what kinds of things they are showing to their children. The parents of your children's friends can be an invaluable resource when it comes to finding good Mormon or Christian animated stories for your family.
