Why is finding direction in life so difficult for many people? The most probable reason is that they are busy and occupied with so many things. But despite all these tasks, routines and responsibilities, they can't help but wonder what their true purpose in life really is. Don’t you ever feel that the driving forces in your life are the circumstances you happen to come across? That you are what you are (and where you are) by chance, and not by choice? Finding direction in life is never easy. Some people go through life struggling to find purpose, just going through the motions without a clear direction. Are you one of them? If so, you can turn your life around by following these 3 simple steps: Step 1: Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone. Most of us will think twice about making life-changing decisions. As much as possible, we would rather be and stay in our comfort zones. But what if unavoidable circumstances come and compel change? Sitting around waiting for change to come (because you aren’t bold enough to initiate it) works against your favor most of the time. Waiting for change to happen leaves you unaware and therefore unprepared for it. The best approach, for that reason, is to plan and act. Step 2: Planning Is Key. Finding direction in life rarely “just happens.” Most of the time, you have to plan it. This works like an umbrella, covering almost every part of your life automatically. It gives you a clearer vision of yourself and your future. When you plan, you take a bold step in taking control of the circumstances rather than letting them control you. Step 3: Evaluate Yourself. Finding direction in life basically depends on your attitude. Just as in finding a career, your personality and your capacity shape the basis of your life’s purpose. What are your interests, your personal conce s? What matters to you most? Is it fame, love, or creativity? Whether it be wealth, knowledge or something else, knowing what you really want helps you create that path to your destination. When finding direction in life, you will discover some points within yourself that you will need to change. Bad habits, shortcomings, self-esteem and self-image issues - these are some of the things you may have to deal with to improve yourself. It’s never easy and it does not happen ove ight; but if it’s fulfillment and happiness you get in the end, it’s never too hard. Remember that hesitation will not get you anywhere. Don’t waste your time and get moving now in finding the right direction in your life!
