Growing up comes with a lot of transitional stages, and some are more overt or more expected than others. One thing is for sure though, Halloween is a holiday that probably changes the most without changing at all. When we are younger kids, the best thing about Halloween is finding a large paper bag or a pillow case so that one may tread around the streets collecting piles and piles of delicious candies. This process is one of the grandest traditions in the United States and will certainly never go away. After all, it is a time for imaginations to run wild, allowing youths to embrace professions and dream scenarios they may never get to during their life times. For instance, one can be a character from a movie, a pirate, a president, or even the walking dead, because anything goes. However, while one may get to dress up for a while, one does not get to keep going door to door to collect all that Halloween candy. Instead, Halloween goes through a transition in those teenager years where it is no longer acceptable to go trick or treating, as well as know longer the coolest thing one can necessarily be doing with their night. Rather, friends and school mates begin to throw big Halloween costume parties where every one dresses up and attends, getting the opportunity to hang out around town and really know each other, or maybe get to know each other a little better. These instances turn out to be especially interesting as one hits the legal drinking age and starts going out to random bars where others have gathered. Of course, at this age, Halloween seems to take another turn, in that dressing up may still be allowed, but instead of going to meet up with friends, groups of friends seem to swarm together going to the same places. In these cases, it is important to generate group costume ideas that everyone can play along with and everyone can put time into to create a unique theme for whatever party they go out to.

Getting together group costume ideas can sometimes be harder than one would think.

For example, it involves mashing together a lot of personalities.

If that can be done, then one has to decide upon what they want to go as.

That means anything from popular cartoon characters to maybe a grouping of super heroes that link together.

Some people prefer to make inanimate objects work.

Most of all, however, it comes down to which costume theme will be most feasible to make.

However, what one must remember more than anything else when setting upon creating something out of their group costume ideas is that Halloween is a time to have fun. If one finds they are not having fun, then chances are they are not embracing the spirit of Halloween and may want to eat a handful of candy to remember the true meaning of appreciating the small things out there.
