Finding Peace Within Yourself - 3 Tips to Feel at Ease

It's no secret that many of us strive towards finding that sense of Peace that we know is within us. Yet, far too often life situations and circumstances that are beyond control have a tendency to move us away from recognizing that Peace within ourselves.

How would your situation change if you suddenly began to realize that in order to find that Peace within yourself would also require you to begin to Love without conditions so that you could experience the kind of everlasting Joy that ultimately leads to Peace?

Far too often, if you are anything like the majority of people on this planet called Earth, our search for Inner Peace begins by looking to remove the distractions and influences from outside events and circumstances.

For instance, when you find yourself taking a Yoga class and you catch a glimpse of Inner Peace during class only to have it "ruined" because of a cell phone going off or someone snoring during the final resting pose of class, it can be quite easy to think... If that situation hadn't happened then I would have experienced even more Peace and stillness during class.

And for those of you who find yourself aware of the fact that what happens in a Yoga class really isn't all that important in regards to the bigger picture, I want you to understand, just understand that what happens on the Yoga mat is a direct reflection of what happens in the "real world" as well.

For instance, when you find yourself stuck in traffic when you can't afford to be late to work, isn't in that moment where you believe that if there wasn't traffic then you would have been able to peacefully drive to work rather than holding on to the story that you created in your head about the traffic and its consequences.

No matter what you might be thinking in this moment, here are 3 tips to help you feel at ease so that you can begin to notice and experience that Peace within yourself.

Tip #1 - Learn How to Love without conditions

If Love is "too big" of an idea for you at this time, simply begin by noticing what conditions you place on Love and how your experience of life is different when you view it with Love rather than dislike.

Tip #2 - Consciously Breathe In and Out

You might be surprised to notice that you have a different breathing pattern for every single emotion that you experience. When you begin to consciously focus on your breathing In and out you are actually developing and expanding your capacity to tap into that Inner Peace within you.

Tip #3 - Begin Meditating on a daily basis

Believe it or not, meditating on a daily basis actually helps you create that pathway to all of the Love, Joy and Peace that is within you. And just in case you were wondering, the practice of Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation technique that will help you drop into the deepest states of your Being which is where Love, Joy and Peace happen to reside within you.
