Passion is not just limited to the bedroom. You can be passionate about many things in your life. The interesting thing is that the more you invite passion into your life, the greater the chances it will find its way to the bedroom.

What do you love to do? When do you lose track of time and get immersed in what you are doing? I’m not talking about mind numbing distractions. What captivates your interest and attention? What makes you feel more alive and awake?

Passion leads to feeling joy and fills your life with purpose. Being passionate about your life makes you feel good about being you. When you feel good about yourself, you will be far less likely to be critical of others. Without passion life can begin to seem empty, indifference can set in and relationships can suffer.

Perhaps you have gotten excited before in your life about setting goals and going for your passion and perhaps along the way you have gotten discouraged, allowed life to get in the way or maybe even lost interest. Motivation can seem fleeting; does that mean that you should stop trying to awaken your passion since it may not last anyway?

Zig Ziglar said, “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing. That’s why we recommend it daily.” So find some way to get excited about your life, everyday. Stop worrying about the past and the future; enjoy each present everyday moment. Be awake in your life.

When you are excited about and enjoying life, it will be so much easier to find passion in the bedroom. Try this exercise to discover your life’s passions:

1. Find a time and space without distractions. Sit still for a minute or two and just focus on breathing deeply.
2. Make a list of times in your life when you felt peace and joy or you felt positive about your self.
3. Why do you think those experiences were pleasurable for you. What decision did you make based on those experiences? Those decisions may give you some insight into your beliefs or values.
4. Make a list of times in your life when you felt crushed, all alone, or otherwise very negative about yourself.
5. Why do you think you felt that way? What decisions did you make based on those experiences?
6. See if you can identify the value or belief unde
eath both the positive and negative experiences.
7. Which of those beliefs seem most important to you. Not the ones that you think should be most important, but what is in your heart and soul. Discovering the common elements in those belief can help direct you toward your passions.

Breathing life into your beliefs and values—bringing your life in line with those beliefs and values can help you find an excitement for living. This excitement for living can also begin to infuse your relationship with passion as well.
