If you are serious about making money online then you have got to find someone who is “QUALIFIED” to help you develop your business. Having a Mentor is one of the best decisions you could ever make. There are a lot of “GURUS” out there who say they can help you build your business. The proof is in the pudding, find someone who is making money in their Network Marketing business. Do your homework and talk with people they have helped.
I’d like to tell you I did just that before I spent thousands of dollars seeking the help of an “Internet Guru”. Shame on me for just believing what I was told without thoroughly checking them out. There are some incredibly talented business coaches out there so learn from my mistakes…PLEASE.
If you’re like me, you got into Network Marketing on the internet so you can achieve some of your goals. Perhaps you want to leave your job or just get a little extra money each month. I realized early on that I can’t do this by myself. I needed to FOCUS my energy to create leads and turn them into a paycheck. There is so much information on the internet I needed help. I met someone at a major event and trusted what he was selling, I mean saying. THEN…I TOOK THE PLUNGE
I’m not bitter about what happened, I’m ashamed of myself that I didn’t “go with my gut”. Well, Six Thousand Dollars later I’m no further along than when I started. I will not mention names in this article for fear of repercussions. I will give you some things to look out for so you won’t make the same mistake that I did. The most important thing to remember is “WHEN IN DOUBT, CHECK IT OUT”.
If someone tells you they made their first Million at an early age then find out if they really did. Remember the old who, what, when, where and why. A little research goes a long way and with the internet there is no excuse for not checking things out. You don’t have to believe what people tell you…CHECK IT OUT. Go to their website…does it look professional? Have they written a book or have a cd you can look at. Are there previous students you can talk to?
Before you send money to someone, or company money, be sure they can do what they say. Talk with previous clients and find out if they performed per the agreement. Get in writing exactly what service you can expect for the money you invest. Call and “interview” the mentor. You have to have a comfort level and understanding of realistic expectations.
Mentoring is not a new concept and there are many incredible men and women who want to help you succeed. A true mentor is not just out to get your money. They have a true desire to help others achieve greatness. You will find that most successful people either had or still have a mentor. A mentor is not there to do things for you. They are able to provide you with a blueprint to follow. They provide support and make you accountable for your actions. They can’t make you do anything, that’s up to you.
