Finding happiness in the real world can sometimes seem impossible. Daily frustrations and irritations can accumulate, making life seem less than fun. You might be lonely. You might hate your job. While there are some life events that are difficult to overcome, you can be happy, if you really want to be.
First, you have to identify what it will take to make you happy. What are your dreams, goals or aspirations? Do you have a sense of spirituality? Do you realize that we are supposed to be happy?
There are some people that truly believe that life is some sort of punishment. Some people think that they are being punished for something that they did in a previous life. Others believe that they must struggle in this life, in order to be rewarded in the afterlife. What do you believe?
Your beliefs cause you to have feelings. Those feelings lead to thoughts. Those thoughts might be positive or negative, but they have “force”.
Positive thoughts create a positive force that attracts positive things into the field of energy created by it. Scientists are just now learning how to measure thoughts and the energy created by them. Finding happiness is a simple matter of generating positive energy. In other words, happy thoughts attract happy things.
All of this might seem difficult to believe, until you start to experience it. It’s what some people refer to as magic or serendipity. It’s what others refer to as coincidence or precognition. Those of us that have received the things that we want in our lives are simply grateful.
Being grateful is all a part of it. No matter the situation that you find yourself in at this moment, there must be something to be grateful for, even if only for being alive. Learning to count your blessings is a step towards finding happiness. One of the other steps is to “give”.
Whatever you have, whatever you can spare, even if it is only your time, give of yourself. The things that you give away will be multiplied and returned to you. Again, it might sound unrealistic, but it is true.
If a person is angry and walks around with a scowl on their face, they will never be happy. Only those of us that know the secrets of life will respond to their scowls with joy.
When you are on the road to finding happiness, avoid the negative people in your life. Spend time with people that are happy and positive, you’ll start become happier as a result.
