On a first date, you can find out what sort of woman you are dealing with. I do not recommend distracting dates like concerts or the theater. These make it hard to really have a conversation with the girl. I prefer boring dates. I like coffee dates because they aren't as stressful as a classic dinner date. When you take a girl out for coffee you can just get up and leave if you have to instead of waiting around for a bill like on a dinner date.

Your goal for this date is just to get to know the girl. This is the most critical point to remember. I know you think she's hot, but you really don't know very much about her yet. Just have a good time and learn who she is for now. Find out if you can actually tolerate her company. Don't try to memorize a bunch of stupid questions to ask the girl. They come across as very mechanical and cliche. Just have a normal conversation with the girl. You can ask her essentially anything you want to as long as you actually care about the answer and aren't just trying to pass time or entertain the girl.

Personally I still get very anxious and excited before a first date. Getting to know a new person and learning what makes her tick is one of the most exciting things I can imagine. First dates are typically pretty easy, so don't sweat this too much.

Here is another good tip for first dates. Don't expect too much from a first date. Your only goal is to learn if this woman is worth spending more time with. Don't go in with expectations of bringing her home that night or making out in the parking lot. Most girls will have personal rules like not making out on the first date. So only go in with the goal of learning more about her.

When you say goodbye at the end of the date, hug her and give her a peck on her cheek. This is an amazing way to end a first date if things go well. This will make you look pretty smooth and charming. This makes her understand that you are a good catch. An honest man that is not just trying to score.

Above all else though, remember to have fun. Get the woman to laugh. Chances are good that she is a little anxious too. You will both feel a lot more relaxed after enjoying a good laugh. Keep the conversation fun and don't be afraid to be a little silly. Not only will this make her laugh, it will let her know that you are a confident man. Just tell her something so stupid that she knows you're just joking like "My mom drove me here. She is waiting for me to wrap this up here in the drug store parking lot across the street. I can't leave her waiting too long, so I have to keep this quick."
