Drinking green tea is becoming a trend due to the health benefits. Green tea is known for improving your health. You have choices. You could drink Lipton green tea, matcha tea, sencha tea or something else. Matcha and sencha both come from Japan. If you had heard that Japanese green tea is the best, you might wonder whether matcha and sencha are different. Here are some reasons why you might want to choose matcha tea over sencha tea. More Versatile -- Because matcha is a powder, you can use it on more things. You could drink it as tea or a smoothie. You could put it as flavoring in the food. You could create recipes with it. Some have put it on ice cream. Therefore, matcha is more versatile than sencha. More Nutrients -- Unlike brewed tea, matcha tea allows you to get more nutrients because you are consuming the entire leaf. When you drink sencha, you are brewing the tea and filtering the leaf. Therefore, you will get not as many of the health benefits as you would with matcha tea. You get more beta-carotene and B6 vitamins. Better Taste -- Those who have used both teas say that matcha tea tastes better. Top-quality matcha tea tastes smooth with creamy feeling on the tongue. You don’t have a pungent aftertaste. Steeped sencha tea tastes more astringent. More Energy -- Because matcha tea has more caffeine, you get more energy when you drink matcha tea. Matcha contains more caffeine and more L-theanine, natural relaxant, than sencha. When the sun exposure is less, tea leaves contain more Caffeine and L-theanine. L-theanine is a natural relaxant and is found almost exclusively in green tea. L-theanine stimulates the production of alpha waves in the brain, and is associated with relaxation and mental alertness, as well as influencing dopamine and serotonin. Unlike other calming agents, L-theanine doesn't cause drowsiness. Grown in shade, matcha offers more Caffeine and more L-theanine than any other type of green tea. The good balance of Caffeine and L-theanine allows matcha to generate steady energy without the jitters or crash associated with caffeine in coffee and energy drinks. More Antioxidants -- Green tea is packed with antioxidants that help prevent cancer, heart disease, stroke and a number of diseases. Because it is grown in shaded areas, matcha tea has fewer catechises, a form of antioxidant that develop through exposure to sunlight. Even though matcha doesn’t have as many as sencha, it still has more than tea you buy in the supermarket. These antioxidants give you more powerful protection against diseases than if you drank any old green tea. For these reasons, you would want to stick with matcha tea. It will give you the best overall experience and as many if not more health benefits. You can choose how to use matcha tea to suit your lifestyle. When you drink matcha tea, you are on your way to healthier lifestyle.
