The primary concern of any pharmacy or healthcare unit is to provide the good quality medicines to their customers. Customers should receive their medicines in a good packaged condition at the time of delivery. Also, it is must that any hospital or pharmacuetical industry should not deliver falsified medicines to the patients. rnFMD SystemrnThis can be accomplished by using an FMD system . It helps to identify the falsified medicines in the supply chain. Medicines that contains wrong incredients and that has no active ingredients, damaged packaging, and fake packaging can be identified easily with these systems. With the use of this type of systems, hospitals or pharmacies can identify medicines supplied by unlicensed sources. rnHow this system finds falsified medicines?rnThis system is designed to identify the falsified, tampered or wrong medicines. All the medicines packs are authenticated and scanned through FMD. This will find which one is falsified or wrong. The manufacturers of the medicines will generate an unique code which acts as an identifier. They will print this identifier on the pack of the medicine. The code is print in the form of 2D data matrix which can be read by humans also. rnOnce the products are ready for sale, manufactures will upload these unique identifier data of each and every product batch to the European Hub. When hospitals or pharmacies got the medicines, they scan the UI data in their FMD for Hospital . The data is compared with the UI uploaded by the manufacturer through NMVS of that area. Once verified, a confirmation message will be returned to the pharmacy or the hospital system. rnThrough this verification using FMD systems, pharmacies and hospitals can send messages to their local NMVS regarding the falsified medicines. This way, further use of the medicines in the same UI batch can be stopped. These systems are also used to stop the withdrawn products. Hospitals and pharmacies that needs to authenticate their medicines can make use of this FMD systems. It will be easy for them to find all sorts of falsified or tampered products with the use of these systems. Products can be decommisioned before it reaches the end customer. rnGetting an FMD system is not so difficult for your pharmacy or hospital. A lot of sources offer this type of FMD system to different hospitals and pharmacies at an affordable rate.
