“FOOD…FOOD…FOOD”... What is it? And how does it affect us? Mentally, Physically, Psychologically, Emotionally our bodies are reliant on some sort of Food, True or False?
We think about food at various times of the day and not only because we are hungry. Unfortunately much of our society has forgotten the importance of food and what its’ role is for our daily needs.
We have been given a guide to help us understand what our ‘basic’ requirements are for life.
Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reference_Daily_Intakern“The Reference Daily Intake or Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) is the daily intake level of a nutrient that is considered to be sufficient to meet the requirements of 97–98% of healthy individuals in every demographic in the United States (where it was developed, but has since been used in other places).
The RDI is used to determine the Daily Value (DV) of foods, which is printed on nutrition facts labels in the United States, where it is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and in Canada and Australia.
The RDI is based on the older Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) from 1968;[1] newer RDAs have since been introduced in the Dietary Reference Intake system, but the RDI is still used for nutrition labeling.”
However it is more often than not that the majority of our western populations are deficient in one or more biochemical (vitamins, minerals, enzymes etc) properties essential to sustain a HEALTHY life. The apparent case is that we, as a society have been given a stable guide to a healthy lifestyle through eating our Recommended Daily Allowance/Intake of nutrients which meets the requirements of the majority of individuals.
Our governments have put in place these laws to ensure this…OR HAVE THEY?
If our Western cultures have the RICHEST economies, the MOST established and SOPHISTICATED hospitals, the MOST highly QUALIFIED HEALTH CARE specialists, the LARGEST RESEARCH archives available AND… the MOST ABUNDANT FOOD SUPPLY…then WHY are we suffering an obesity epidemic of extreme proportions?
WHAT ON EARTH IS HAPPENING?
We're not only missing one or two vital nutrients in our diet. We, as a western culture are NUTRIENT DEFICIENT! Our western food supply has been stripped of the nutrients it originally contained due to the excessive demands from our populations. We have sprayed our soils with every known and some unknown herbicides, pesticides and fungicides in order to reproduce the same harvest and more every year.
“Water water everywhere, not a drop to drink”
This quote refers to the water in the oceans and seas… Lots of water around but all of it is salty which is not good to drink much like our food supply which is abundant and somewhat overwhelming.
We waste enormous amounts of food...If you don't believe me go to the back of your local supermarket and look in the large bins! Ask the baker what happens to the bread that doesn't get purchased by the end of the day, ask your local restaurant how much product waste they have, they won't like your questioning…So be careful! Look to your own dining table after dinner. Waste, Waste, Waste
We have an abundance of food yet we are so deficient in so many areas of health and have begun heading very quickly in a severe downward spiral.
Here is a short film clip to help you understand the big picture

The western world, we as humans in western societies don’t need the food that the majority of us are consuming every single day …really we don't! We need NUTRIENTS!
1. from plant matter and their seeds that grow in fresh unadulterated organic soil!
2. We need FRESH! Organic Fish from clea
Fresh water (inland) and clean salt water (seas/oceans) and Organic! Beef, chicken, and other farm FRESH! Produce!
Can you see an underlying theme here…The words I have hi-lighted in bold lettering I have done so for a particular reaso
What is Organic?
Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organic_food
"Organic foods are foods that are produced using methods that do not involve modern synthetic inputs such as pesticides and chemical fertilizers, do not contain genetically modified organisms, and are not processed using irradiation, industrial solvents, or chemical food additives.[1] "
So after watching the video link and having your eyes opened… What now?
Our bodies are riddled with toxins which in turn create health issues and this is where we are today in our western society.
To address this topic quite bluntly and openly I'd like to share a quick story with you. True story
A very small number of health practitioners are turning to the use of supplements (vitamins and minerals) to help balance our bodies and address the underlying cause of our health crisis. Yet this is only a small number who have recognized the deficiency in our bodies. Taking a proactive measure to ensure we eat a healthy range of nutrient dense food is the key, I don't use the word "diet" because for many people this refers to a short term attempt to remedy a lifetime worth of mistreatment to our bodies. This article could be very extensive yet instead I will be brief. I will educate on ways to improve your health in later articles so stay posted.
"If you begin to feed the body the essential nutrients it needs every single day, your body will have a better fighting chance to achieve and sustain optimum health…and even bring you back from a state of malnutrition and degenerative disease".

ON loving life and living in good health!"

Moving Meditation: How Precision-Based Exercise Supports Mental and Emotional Growth
