Ever wonder what makes you move? How do you get the energy to move heavy objects or walk towards your bathroom? The answer lies in the food you consume, the air you breathe, and the water you drink. Almost all of the things you intake is considered to be a nutrient. From food, water, even oxygen is a form of nutrient. A nutrient is a source of nourishment wherein which it then converts the object you consumed to a specific purpose inside you body; be it energy, tissue and hormone production, antibodies from the immune system production and normalize bodily functions. The effects of the certain Food Nutrients are dose reliant which means that it is set into the inside of your body either you eat it or it is infused by other methods.
There are two types of nutrients which is the Organic nutrients and the other Inorganic nutrients. For Organic Nutrients, these are nutrients in the structure of a molecule manufactured by or originally come from other organisms. Generally, one great example from this is food. They come from other organisms that we then consume and acquire their nutrients. Upon obtaining these organic nutrients, they have different subtypes including Carbohydrates. Carbs or Carbohydrate is a nutrient that provides the body energy in a stable, time-released method. They are low in both fat and calories but are high with fiber.
These are good to athletes as Carbs are stored in the muscle as glycogen making it vital to endurance. The purpose of Protein on the other hand is mainly to provide the tissue-building substance. Upon digestion, they break down to tinier components called an amino acid then are rebuilt into body protein. This is best for supporting the growth of your body stricture, the improvement of your muscles, gaining height. Another organic nutrient is called Fat. Fat are essential to the diet to furnish energy as they provide twice more energy than either carbs or protein. They supply essential fatty acids then move fat-soluble vitamins and help in the absorption process. Conversely, too much of the fat can give more risk in coronary heart/vascular diseases.
The Other type of Food Nutrients is the Inorganic nutrient. They are chemical compound that can be found almost anywhere. The air we breathe is an example of an inorganic nutrient, by simply inhaling the oxygen gives nourishment to the body thus giving purpose as a nutrient. Another example of an inorganic is the Dietary Minerals. These are chemical elements that are needed by all living organisms. One example to a dietary mineral is Calcium; this is the most abundant mineral found in the body. It is needed for blood clotting and for the heart to function properly. Lastly is one of the most important mineral, Water. Water is a crucial element and is also the solvent by which all of the chemical response in life happens.
To the many purposes of these Food Nutrients, the human bodies’ bodily processes work naturally and normally as well as other living organisms.
