The squabble is over in which state the primaries should be held first. The caucus, the first in this region of the West, features a good number of independent as well as Hispanic voters; relatively the Christian conservatives are few in number. The latter play a significant role in the early contests elsewhere. The Republican Party of Nevada State will get an opportunity to set up an organization to counter the machine of Harry Reid, the Democratic leader of the Senate. It had been instrumental in helping Obama become the president in 2008. Last year it pushed through Reid during a tough battle during the re-elections in 2010. In Nevada the Democrat registered voters outnumber the Republics by 100,000. Reid and his colleagues are already preparing the groundwork for the coming year.
