There’s no doubt about it, some of the biggest Hollywood stars can rock a pair of glasses in a way that makes some people rue their perfect vision. But for those of us that do wear specs, who are the biggest glasses-wearing style icons out there at the moment worth looking up to? Johnny Depp The Pirates of the Caribbean star has been seen in tinted lenses for some time now, but over the last couple of years his brand of choice has clearly been limited to one designer in particular. However, while the Moscot Lemtosh series favoured by Depp are a little pricey and difficult to track down on the high street, it’s a style that can be found under other names. The latest range designed by TV makeover hero Gok Wan for example, bear more than a passing resemblance to the very daring rounded black frames of Moscot. Daniel Craig There are plenty of movies that have been released this year that have characters who wear glasses. In September, Gary Oldman seemed to be on posters everywhere as the bespectacled George Smiley in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, but this won’t be the last film of the year that has stars in glasses out front. In December, James Bond star Daniel Craig is back on the big screen in David Fincher’s adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and, you guessed it; he’s looking great in glasses. Expect millions of envious blokes to book an eye test the very next week. Seth Rogen Probably one of the most familiar faces in comedy today, there is nothing funny about how stylish Seth Rogen looks when he rocks up on the red carpet. He may be sporting the look that some would call ‘geek chic’, but it seems to have paid dividends. The star of blockbuster comedies like Superbad, Knocked Up and The Green Hornet recently married his long-time girlfriend, writer Lauren Miller – in the same week as his latest film, 50/50 was released in cinemas across the US. Justin Timberlake Some of us might remember him as the nerdy guy with the blonde afro from N Sync, but in recent years, Timberlake has become something of a box office star. In 2011 alone he has appeared in romantic comedies like Bad Teacher and Friends with Benefits, and later this year will take the lead in sci-fi thriller In Time. Having been seen on the arm of lovely leading ladies that include Cameron Diaz, Jessica Biel and Mila Kunis, this is one actor who knows how to dress to impress from his head to his toes.
