Free advice on how to get your cheating ex back that gets results might seem like it would be hard to come by. That isn't always the case though. There are plenty of times when the advice is right under your nose. All you need to do is look and see what is there before you can begin enjoying the benefits.

There once was a time when people were skeptical of advice that is free. Now though, we know that sometimes you might get what you pay for. But sometimes, you get so much more. Keep reading all the way to the end to see how easy it can be to get your cheating ex back. Some of these methods are sure to surprise you.

Be Proactive

Don't wait for your cheating ex to come to you if you want to make things work. Sometimes, waiting for an apology is a "long wait for a train that don't come." (fans of Firefly will appreciate the reference). The bottom line is that sometimes it is best to make things happen when you're trying to save your relationship instead of waiting for something to happen. You might just wait yourself back into the single life if you don't take action.

But, WHAT action should you take?

It's not like you have a magic carpet that can take you back in time to a happier place in your relationship. These are the things you can do that will get results.

1. Recreate your first date. It's sentimental and it may seem silly but it is usually a great idea to get the conversation started. Obviously you can't do an exact recreation of your first date if it was a day at the beach and you're now facing a wind chill that is decidedly below freezing but recreate it to the best of your ability or make something up that is designed to mimic your first date. Play the music, toss beach balls around the apartment, and turn the heat up really high for the night so you can run around in swimsuits. It's not about the exact date but the memories it evokes and reliving those memories together.

2. Ask for forgiveness. This will work in more ways than one. First it will be a surprise. After all, you weren't the one who did the cheating. Second, it will show that you're not pointing fingers. Finally, it lets your ex know that you're willing to work things out.
