In this modern day where the working week seems to be a month long and each day seem to start early and finish later and later, where one's smart phone never stops ringing and the flow of emails is unceasing, results in one seldom having a chance to relax.

Thus the last thing one wants to be troubled with when getting home and on weekends are the chores such as cleaning the pool and mowing the lawn or painting and fixing the various things that require attention around the house. No one wants to spend the increasingly limited spare time one has relaxing, connecting with family and friends and blowing off stress.

Houston Townhomes are becoming more and more in demand. Built with spacious rooms of three levels or so these dwellings require virtually minimal maintenance, and yet have all the properties of a home without the time consuming disadvantages and requirements for upkeep required by a normal house. The other thing about a Townhome is that it is a single dwelling unit and there is no one living above or below so it is a big step up on a condo or apartment. Your entrance is exclusively your own. As long as one is able to climb and descend the stairs, Townhomes in Houston are very suitable for busy people who do not mind not having their own garden.

The location is of course a very important consideration. All suburbs within the 610 loop are usually very sought after. They are all within easy commuting distance of downtow
Houston and also offer easy routes onto the freeways. All the amenities one requires for a comfortable living are available within the loop as well.

The prices for townhomes in Houston range from around three quarters of a Million dollars for a three bedroom townhome in an upmarket area such as Rice Military and can in fact go for as little as two hundred thousand dollars for a starter townhome. The River Oaks Townhomes, which are very exclusive, are all in the one and a half to two million dollar range. These are however outstanding and extremely luxurious properties in a very desirable location.

Bordering on River Oaks and Rice Military, within the loop is Montrose which is another up market location which is not going to become overcrowded. It is the closest suburb to Downtown Houston.

But one should not feel one is limited to only 3 or four locations, Houston is rich in suburbs each of which have their own characteristics. For example moving west there is Briargrove which is very popular are with lots of new construction happening. It is also an area that has very good schools.

And so it is with other locations both in and out of the 610loop like Houston Heights which is serviced by a streetcar to downtown and revels in its reputation of being a bohemian centre with lots of little art shops and trendy restaurants and exciting nightlife. Wherever one elects to buy in Houston there is sure to be some dwelling that will suit you.
