Tractors are an essential staple of the average Indian farm and have gone through lots of modifications and advancements in the last 2 decades. Since the past few decades, tractors were able to lessen the farmer’s burden From Caterpillar’s heavy earth moving tractors to the Mahindra’s Shaan tractors, these engines have undergone lots of technical modifications. Thanks to modern technology and machinery, today’s tractors are made with multi-utility features. The history rnThe first ever engine powered tractor that used steam was introduced way back in 1868. These tractors were meant to be used as small road movers, operated by one man. Tractors were a popular machine especially in the timber trade, where they were used to carry wood from one place to the other. The other main purpose of engine tractors was for farming activities. Without them, the farmers would have had a much tougher time in the fields. Compared to those heavy weight machines, today the modern engines are used for multiple purposes. Early tractors used wide metal tires, particularly in the rear, to distribute the weight. A historical review of tractors Ford tractors The first ever gasoline tractor introduced by Ford in 1907, was popularly termed as an automobile plow. It was after 1910 that these tractors were used commonly for farming. Model F, 9N and 8N were some of the popular Ford tractors. Even today, lots of Ford tractors are in use. Frick tractors The steam engine powered Frick tractors came in the market in the 1940s. These were later used at refrigeration units and sawmills. The Shaan tractor The Indian agriculture market received great deal of support from its unique tractor designs and models. With advancements in technology and with an ideal combination of performance and looks, the Shaan tractors were introduced in the Indian market. The Shaan is one of the modern tractors that are designed for multiple uses. It is a perfect machine that assists you set all your business ideas into practice. The Shaan tractor comes with a built-in trolley and a 750 kg payload to suit different activities. A top speed of around 40kmph, 23.5HP engine and top quality engineering allows this machine to be used for multiple purposes. Mahindra’s Shaan tractor is not only used for farming but also as a goods carrier. Along with its style and looks, this conventional tractor is featured with chic features like widescreen, wipers, canopy and soft-top. Its comfort seat, car style clutch, gears and accelerator allows the operator to speed up work. From single utility tractors, they are now designed for multiple purposes to suit the needs of fast production. With better functionality and technical advancements, the modern tractors suit the need to get things done fast.
