Valentine’s Day is here. And people from all walks of life have all the different plans of spending it. And why not, this day is considered as the only day of the year that is devoted to remembering love - love for parents, love for husbands, wives, and family, love for friends, and love for partners. And there are many ways to spend Valentine’s Day.

It is couples who find this day especially special. They take it as a day to express and renew their commitment to love each other. And there are also quite a number of things they can do. Parenting Blog has a rundown of these activities.

1.An advice is for couples to do things which can bring them closer together. They can have candlelight dinner about once a week. And the food need not be fancy.
2.Even if couples can write letters to each other anytime of the year, this can also be especially done on Valentine’s Day. One may leave sweet notes in strategic areas of the house.
3.For couples who have kids and do not anymore have to luxury of time to eat out on V-Day, they can opt to watch their kids sleep and talk about life. This is another practical parenting tip where the kids also feel that their parents are full of love.
4.Couples can also opt to play some sweet music and dance together. This can make them feel young once again.
5.Hugging each other is another sweet thing to do.
6.If “I Love You” has become a very foreign word nowadays, V-Day should be the perfect time to say it again.

Parents who want to spend V-Day along with their children can also have a lot of activities. This is because this day is not just for lovers but for families as well. Among the most important parenting tips is for parents to include their children in their activities and make them feel a sense of belongingness and love. Here are some activities they can do.

1.Baking heart-shaped cookies can be a fun thing to do together. The children get to learn and have fun while the parents are able to give time to their children and each other.
2.Parents can lead their children in making Valentine’s Day cards to be given out to all family members. Drawings of children and their handwritings can have a very different yet special impact on the recipients.
3.Grab your bags and stroll around the community. This can be a good exercise for the parents and can also be fun activity for the kids.
4.Valentine’s Day is also for wearing costumes. And of course, the costumes have to be reflective of the season of hearts. These can even be worn for dinner.
5.Families can sing and dance to their favorite music.
6.A family portrait can also be a nice thing to do especially if everyone is in red.

So you see, Valentine’s Day is not just for lovers but for everyone who finds the true meaning of love. Love is for everyone. Happy Valentine’s Day!
