There are many fun ways to relieve stress. All you have to do is get creative and ask yourself, "What do I like to do for fun?"
One of the ways you can have fun and relieve stress is through exercise. I know, I know, I can hear you groaning now. But exercise doesn't have to be difficult or boring and studies show that exercise does relieve stress. So don't give up on this idea before you hear me out.
Sometimes just getting out and being active in the fresh air is all you need and there are many ways to make this fun. Some examples are: playing Frisbee with friends, playing a game of miniature golf, going on a scavenger hunt, having a snowball fight, horseback riding... the list could go on and on. While those activities don't seem like typical exercise, they are activities that will get your heart pumping and can be fun ways to relieve stress. When thinking of exercise, be creative!
Dancing is another option. Any kind of dancing is fine... but I suggest trying the kind of dancing you might not want anyone to see. I'm talking about the kind where you close your blinds, crank up your music, and just let loose! This is a great form of exercise and can also help you relieve stress.
Singing by yourself and with others are also fun ways to relieve stress. However, if you decide to sing with others, make sure you are comfortable enough to totally let go and go for it! Singing can relieve your stress in several ways. First, it requires you to breathe deeply allowing you to release some tension and get oxygen flowing in your bloodstream.
Another way singing can help you relieve stress is through the music. Music that makes you feel good... well, makes you feel good. It doesn't have to be relaxing music to relieve stress, any music that you enjoy can have a positive impact on not only your mood but also your physical and mental health.
Paint a picture. Art therapy is an extremely popular way to relieve stress. But you don't have to be a budding artist to get the benefits. All you have to do is relax, paint, and have fun. And who knows, maybe you'll discover a new talent! Choose colors that you enjoy and that make you happy and go for it! Don't worry about making it look nice, just be creative and enjoy the activity. If you don't have access to paints, simply drawing or doodling with whatever you have available will do the trick.
Ever heard the saying "Laughter is the best medicine"? In many ways, it's very true. Try to think of things you can do that make you laugh. Even something as simple as renting a funny movie can help you relieve stress. Think about the kinds of silly things you enjoyed when you were a child. Throw your First Annual Crazy Costume Party and invite your friends... chances are they are looking for fun ways to relieve stress too.
By thinking outside of the box and remembering the things you once enjoyed as a child, you can easily discover many fun ways to relieve stress. And don't be afraid to get others involved. Challenge your friends, family, or children to come up with new and exciting ideas to help everyone have fun and relieve stress.

With bills to pay, rent to cover, kids to corral, too much to do in too little time, especially with the Holidays upon us and all the extra stuff that needs tending, doing, paying for? Joy? Give it a rest. Well, I would, except joy is our basic nature. It’s what everything else we do is aiming for. Yes, money is nice, but why? For the joy it brings us in the form of comfort and/or giving to others. Success is grand, but why? For the joy of accomplishment, of expressing ourse
