Fund raising events

I have been working for a charity organisation for over 10 years but as a volunteer, every year we have a fair to raise money for the charity. This year we are hoping to raise more money than ever before but I can’t think of any way to do that, as we don’t want to spend money to raise money. Every year local people donate gifts for us to use as prizes, which is very sweet but this year I want something that will bring in a lot of people and a lot of money. So I decided to design a leaflet about what our organisation does and what they hope to do with the money raised, and then hand them out to all local businesses. To my shock I received a phone call from the used Audi dealer this morning, and they said that they will donate a car which is in great condition. They were apologising for the car not being brand new but it didn’t matter to us, as a car is a big thing to donate and we appreciate everything given to us, whether it’s old or new. They said they will deliver the car after lunch, so I can’t wait to see the car and what it looks like. All my colleagues have already decided that they clean the inside and wash the outside as soon as it arrives. I have a very good feeling that this year’s fair will defiantly be the best ever and hopefully the one that raises the most money.
