There is a fantasy element that is present in almost every digital game, which makes it interesting and engaging for the user. Through the game, it is possible to acquire skills as per the needs of various situations. Strategic skills that are acquired through games are quite helpful in handling various work situations, and users get to compete with each other. This whole process of knowledge enhancement is referred to as game based learning. The objective of learning on the digital platform is to explain that the true test of knowledge is not only memorization, but it is the whole process of acquiring skills and applying these as per situation. By playing various education games, performance-based training can be imparted to the users, which is greatly motivating and effective. However, it needs to be suitably supported by training and other work as well. Apart from computers, skills and knowledge can also be imparted through mobile applications that can be downloaded on various mobile devices. The applications are compatible with different mobile operating systems such as Blackberry, Windows 8, Symbian and Android. This from of education is known as mobile learning. E-learning solutions have been successful across the world, which makes it clear that these solutions can help organizations appreciate innovative approaches to problem solving. There are many innovative learning techniques that are used during e-learning, which can be applied in real work situations. The use of innovative techniques help employees to boost their morale, which in turn results in higher productivity. An important advantage of e-learning is that knowledge can be imparted irrespective of the user's geographical location. Users do not have to be confined to a certain room or area, unlike traditional methods of learning. Also, the training can be taken at any time when the employee is free, so that it does not interfere in the course of everyday work. Individuals can also interact and learn from each other, through the medium of forums, discussion boards, chats and wikis. Sharing of ideas results in healthy interaction, and each individual can learn from the other. This form of learning is known as social learning. In the field of education, learning through a virtual classroom has become fairly common. Individuals can log on to the Web at the same time, and interact with each other just like a regular classroom. A certain number of topics need to be covered on a particular day by every student. For reference purposes, information from the different course modules can be downloaded and used at any time, These days, there are many different companies in the market that provide social learning solutions, since the demand for such solutions has gone up. However, it is important that software made by reputed I.T. companies is chosen. The same principle works for mobile learning applications as well.
