HAVE YOU DISCOVERED THESE SECRETS IN THE DA VINCI CODE?

On Friday 19th May I went to see the Da Vinci Code, as did thousands of other people here in London.nnIt made me think a lot and I compared the world it describes with the world we really live in. nnOn one side the world of sin, guilt, repression, punishment, self-flagellation, suspicion… on the other the very liberal world we live in, where everything seems to be allowed. nnAnd some questions arose as I was looking around the cinema, contrasting these two worlds. In this world of ours are we living ‘our mission’? Have we gained our real freedom? Have we understood the real truth? Are we happier? Are we more fulfilled? Is this the society we want to live in?nnAnd here are the Secrets I discovered…nnWhat we want as human beings is to be happy, and for each one of us happiness has a different meaning as we are all different. nnWe all have some needs we have to fill in order to be happy:nn-fulfilment/ life meaningn-connection/loven-authenticity/truthn-loyaltyn-trustnnWe need to feel fulfilment in our lives in order to be happy: we need to feel our life has a meaning.nnWe are very lucky that we live in this time and we have plenty of choices, but does buying things (clothes, goods, cars, and holidays) really make you happy? Do you feel really fulfilled when you’ve done that? Or is it a temporary relief; you need to buy something else after, in order to fill your inner needs? nnWe need to feel connection, we need to feel loved, we need to feel and give love. Love makes us feel alive. nnSome people have one relationship after another, but is this really giving them fulfilment and making them feel connected? Is this making them feel loving and loved, is it real love? Or would they (or you) feel more loving, and more loved, if they really looked for that special someone? nnWe all need authenticity and truth in our lives in order to feel fulfilled.nnIt is very important to be true to ourselves in order to feel happy with ourselves, in order to love ourselves, in order to feel confident and in order to feel fulfilled.nnDo you know that you are an extraordinary human being? Well, now you know. nnDo you know that you have a mission in your life and that your mission is to be yourself? And if you are not yourself we, the whole of humanity, are going to miss out, because there will never be another you?nnWe need authentic relationships in order to feel fulfilled, with ourselves and with other people.nnSome people have a one-night stand. If that’s you, are you being true to yourself and your values? And is it making you feel connected and loved? Do you want temporary pleasure or do you want love? Do you feel fulfilled after that? Is it the authentic relationship you desire and deserve? Do you prefer a fulfilling, meaningful, loving, authentic relationship, or a superficial one and easy sex? nnAnd some people follow the latest trends in order to feel accepted by their peers or society, and maybe feel confident. Is that giving you fulfilment? And are you being true to yourself and the wonder that you are? Are you being the real and confident you? nnAre you being just you, like no other?nnWe need loyalty in order to feel authentic relationships that make us feel loved and fulfilled. We need authentic friendships, and we need connection. nnSome people cheat on their partner; does that make them feel fulfilled? If you do this, do you feel safe in these relationships? Are you being true to yourself? Do you feel connected and loved in these relationships?nnWe need to feel trust in order to be able to create fulfilling relationships and lives. nnSome people lie; are they being true to themselves? And does it help to create trust and thus create the fulfilling relationships they deserve, and feel all the love and connection they desire?n nAnd do you know that you are a creator? Well, now you know. nDo you know that your contribution to society is essential? Is this the society you want to live in? Is this the society you want to create? You can create the society you wish to live in, for you and your loved ones.
