Genital Problems - Alternative Treatment And Symptoms
Around 80% of people with genital herpes never know that they are carrying the virus because there are often no symptoms (or very mild symptoms which are almost unnoticeable, such as a slight itchiness or red patch of skin in the genital area). This means that many cases of herpes go undiagnosed. However, even with no symptoms, it is possible to pass genital herpes on to a sexual partner because the virus may sometimes be present in your genital area.
In women, genital warts can grow on the vulva, the walls of the vagina, the area between the external genitals and the anus, and the cervix. In men, they may occur on the tip or shaft of the penis, the scrotum or the anus. Genital warts can also develop in the mouth or throat of a person who has had oral sexual contact with an infected person.
Signs and Symptoms
Small, flesh-colored or gray swellings in your genital area
Several warts close together that take on a cauliflower shape
Itching or discomfort in your genital area
Bleeding with intercourse
Painful, itchy blisters on the penis, on the vulva, or inside the vagina. Blisters may also appear on the anus, buttocks, thighs, or scrotum, either alone or in clusters. They may be barely noticeable or as large as a coin.
Flu-like symptoms, such as fever, headache, and muscle aches. These symptoms usually get better within a week.
Thrush
Thrush is a fungal overgrowth caused by the Candida albicans organism, which occupies the gut and vagina along with a host of other bacteria. Normally it is kept under control by "friendly" vaginal bacteria and does not cause any problems. If anything upsets that delicate bacterial balance (for example, antibiotics, stress, illness, poor nutrition) the yeast can start to grow out of control and eventually manifests itself as a fungal infection. Symptoms of the infection are a thick white curdy or watery discharge that resembles cottage cheese, together with itching around the vulva or the vagina. Sexual intercourse and passing urine may be painful.
Treatment
Naturopathy Itching can be eased by dipping a tampon in live, natural yogurt and leaving it in the vagina for an hour:
Diet and Nutrition Eat two or three tubs of live yogurt daily during an attack. Two capsules of Lactobacillus acidophilus daily will replenish vaginal bacteria and guard against future attacks. Cut out food that the yeast feeds on: sugar, refined carbohydrates, bread, mushrooms. Eat salads, fruit, and wholegrain cereals, and try to incorporate more garlic into your daily diet.
Treatment for Genital Problems.
Test topical alternatives: For symptom relief and faster healing, try ointments containing zinc, lithium succinate, propolis, lemon balm, or aloe.
Try lysine: Taking 1,000 mg a day of this nutritional supplement may speed healing and help prevent outbreaks.
Use condoms: Gain added protection by using latex condoms when having sex.
Guard your partner: Avoid sexual contact during active infections to prevent infecting others.
Protect your unborn child: Let your obstetrician know if your infection becomes active near your delivery date to prevent passing the infection to your baby.
Other treatment
Goldenseal: considered to have natural antibiotic properties and may destroy many types of viral infections.
Tea Tree Oil: strong anti-viral and anti-bacterial aromatherapy essential oil.
Aloe Vera: healing and soothing properties.
Garlic Oil: or even raw garlic is believed to promote white blood cells ability to fight infection.
Sour Apple Juice: it is believed the beneficial effect is from the magnesium in the apple
