From 2009 to 2012, the amount of people browsing the internet through their mobiles increased by 1000%. Thus, we can assume that the future of mobile websites looks good, and that future can only benefit internet marketing. Currently, those businesses have already made the switch to mobile optimization are leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. Their success is not just a fluke either, there are numbers that support the idea that mobilizing your website will reach more customers, increase sales, and put you ahead of your competition.
Because mobile browsing is becoming easier and more popular, mobilizing your website will allow you to reach a larger group of consumers that need to hear about your product or service. The majority of businesses that made the switch experienced an 85% increase in web traffic after making their internet marketing mobile. Mobile optimization will almost double the number of people visiting your site. By going mobile, businesses are exposing themselves to the rising mass of the population that operates chiefly on a mobile level. If you do not make the switch, you will miss out.
If you want increased sales, mobile optimization within your internet marketing strategy will do the trick. As of now roughly 22% of online businesses are mobilizing and only around 5% of online retailers have joined the race. However, this number is growing and will continue to grow.
