If Java is working normally after installation but you notice a browser slowdown, then you need no go un-installing the program all over again. Clear the Java cache and remove all cached Java applets. For this, first close the browser window then go to Start > Control Panel > Java > General > Temporary Internet Files > Settings >Delete Files.
