If you know snowboarding, write about snowboarding! Have a link in your signature paragraph back to a website that talks about snowboarding! Include a paragraph about how long you’ve been snowboarding, what kind of board you use, and where the coolest places to snowboard might be.

By positioning yourself as an expert in your chosen field, you assure that your ezine article readers will not only want to go to your website to learn more about you – but that they’ll pass that information along to others as well!

Ezine articles are often used by copywriters or online newsletter publishers who need content fast, but (can’t or) don’t want to write it themselves.

Many people know that blogging is a great way to get traffic to your website – but they don’t know why or how to maximize this easy and free tool!

Step 1 is to go to sites like Yahoo!, Twitter, or MSN. These sites have “Trending” or “What’s Hot” sections that will show you what people are searching for most. It’s right there on the front of their home pages (or down the right-hand side if you’re on Twitter).

Once you know what people are searching for most – that’s your blog topic! Its like having built-in keywords right into your blog post!

If you’re writing about the topics people are already searching for, you’ve got a jump on everyone else!

Case in point:

A woman who specialized in grief counseling and children of divorcing parents was writing a blog recently. She was advised to use the media circus surrounding American reality TV stars “Jon and Kate Plus 8” as an example for what she’d tell the 8 children and how she’d counsel them.

Her ratings in the search engines were on the first page for several weeks as a result of just one blog. By taking a topic that people were searching for, making it relevant to her specific industry or niche, and offering her unique perspective, she was assured that multiple readers and viewers came to her blog as a result of searches for something unrelated that was going on in the media.

We hinted at keywords in Easy Way #2, but just how do you find what people are searching for?

Its already been established that you can go to sites like MSN, Twitter, and Yahoo! to find trending topics.

But there’s another way.

Its under “Google Adword Tools” (an online search for this term will point you in the right direction).

You’ll simply enter your industry or niche term (you can even enter your website name!) and Google will automatically find the keywords that your potential customers are searching for!

Don’t be alarmed. I know the term “Adword” is part of the deal – and originally that’s what this tool was created for, to allow people using Pay-Per-Click advertising to easily find keywords they want to get ranked for and see how relevant those keywords would be (and how expensive).

However, we’re using it for FREE purposes!

You can even sort according to local or global searches! This is great if you have a local product or service – or are strictly online and can reach the entire world.
Once you’ve found the words that are searched for most often (that are part of your specific industry or niche), those are your blog topics.

Make certain you enter the keyword terms in the specific order they’re being searched for!
You may even consider intentionally misspelling common words (“entrepreneur” for example, is often misspelled) as they are searched for often but might not be something that someone would want to use for Pay-Per-Click.
