Go After Your Dreams- It's The Only Way To Live

If there’s one piece of advice I’d like to give any aspiring person in any walk of life it would be to go after your dreams.

Dreams are the spark that ignites our lives. They are the seeds of our future.

As Victor Hugo said "There is nothing like a dream to create the future."

Unfortunately, millions seem to give up on their dreams before they really get started.

But why is that?

Well I’ve come across many people in my life who’ve given up on what they’re truly love and passionate about because of the naysayers, and doubters who have scoffed and questioned what they were doing.

Every time I think of this, it not only makes me sad but also extremely angry.

No one has the right to quash or subdue your dreams. Your dreams are your prized asset. They should be cherished, encouraged and promoted.

However, with so much negativity swirling around in the world today, raining on peoples dreams has now become an expected and somewhat excepted behavior of many.

This shouldn’t be allowed to happen.

Here are just a handful of reasons why should do your utmost to avoid and ignore anyone who tries stopping you go after your dreams.

1. You will have regrets later in life. The nagging question of ‘what if’ will eat away at you for a long, long time

2. There’s no greater pleasure than proving the doubters and sceptics wrong- As Walter Bagehot said; “The great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.”

3. Following your dreams presents challenges. Challenges mould your character and help you grow as a person.

4. Pursuing your dreams requires you to take action. Action takers possess the power to manifest, create and influence society and the world.

5. Dreams give us a reason for living. Think how dull, boring and pointless life would be without them.

6. They define what type of person you are and become.

7. They influence your whole life by giving you purpose, passion and direction.

8. Dreams require you to take risks. Risks can open doors to more opportunities.

Having and pursuing your dreams, no matter how big or small, is the only way to live your life.

Lanston Hughes says "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly."

Don’t let anyone tell you can’t go after your dreams. It’s your life, live it on you terms.
