I often ask the question to the students in my indoor cycling class if they are giving their maximum effort. It is evident that they made the effort to get up and arrive at the gym early to sign up for class. The logical next step would be to make their workout count! As an instructor I can offer a gentle reminder, but it is up to the student to follow through and give 100 percent. n
While most of us don't have a life instructor or "life coach" as they are referred to these days to provide us with gentle reminders, it is up to us to pose certain questions to ourselves, "Am I doing the best I possibly can?", "Could I do more?", " Am I giving 100 percent?" These questions will serve as a barometer to help you gauge where you register in regards to the goal of giving your 100 percent.

Here are three tips to help you make sure that you always give 100 percent doing the things you "get" to do!

Tip #1: Be Honest With Yourself: Once you ask yourself the questions above, make sure to answer them honestly. After all, only you know the answers to the questions and only you are empowered to make the changes necessary to make sure you're giving it your all.

Tip #2: Take Action: Once you've answered the questions above, evaluate your responses and take action by making the changes necessary in order to make sure you're giving 100 percent.

Tip #3: Be Proactive: Don't wait until something goes awry! A state of awareness will help you to continue to give 100 percent, 100 percent of the time. By anticipating potential hurdles that may get in the way of you giving 100 percent, you can nip them in the bud or make a Plan B!
