Goa is among one of the most visited tourists states in India. The state is situated on the western coast of the Indian sub continent. The best season to visit Goa is from October to March when the weather is quite pleasant. Vasco- da- Gama is the biggest city in the state and Panaji is the capital city. Goa is indeed the centre of tourism in the country and has luxurious standards of accommodation. One can easily find economical and budget hotels in the state. Goa has a lot many things to offer to its tourists. One will find a whole of activities to undertake in Goa depending on one’s taste and style. In short it is a perfect destination to enjoy with family and friends. Thousands of tourists visit Goa to witness the gorgeous Beaches, magnificent Churches, Ruins of Old Goa, Flea Markets near the beaches and of course the delicious Goan cuisine.

The state has historical landmarks and monuments which represent the rich Indian ethnicity and traditions. When one is on a family tour to Goa then one should definitely visit the churches and cathedrals which have stunning architecture and structural designs. The churches also depict the Portuguese customs as Goa was a Portuguese Colony for a long period of time. The Se Cathedral, Convent and Church of St Francis Assisi, Basilica of Bom Jesus, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Chapel of St Sebastian, Fontainhas and Rachol Seminary and Church are some of the churches during Goa tours.

The other major attractions in the state are its dazzling beaches. Goa has wonderful and calm beaches decorated with Palm grooves. One should stay near the beach so that one you can enjoy some recreational activities with your family on the beach like beach volleyball, swimming, parasailing, skiing, sunbathing and many more beach activities you can enjoy. You will observe a lot of hippies and foreign crowd on the beaches. The Anjuna Beach, Candolim Beach, Baga Beach, Sinquerim Beach, and Vagator Beach are the ones to visit in North Goa. The popular South Goa beaches include Palolem, Bagmalo, and Agonda.

The Museum of Goa has preserved some ancient legacy of the state. The famous Museums are the Archeological Museum, the Museum of Goa Daman and Diu and the Institute Menezes Braganza are some of the eminent Museums of Goa. Goa has renowned Wildlife sanctuaries and National Parks which are habitat to many animals and colorful birds. The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Bhagvan Mahavir Sanctuary, Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary and Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary are some of them which one should plan and visit in Goa.

The most awaited celebration of the year is the Goa’s carnival. The vibrant music, colorful parades, live bands and mouth watering food are the chief highlights of the Carnival. Local people are brightly dressed and in full spirit of enjoyment throughout the Carnival. The Carnival is held in the month of February so one should plan a visit in this month so as to be part of the glorious event.

Goa is a perfect place to enjoy with family and one should take out time from one’s busy life to take the ultimate pleasure and contentment of life.
