Goa is the paradise of beach lovers in India which has been serving tourists from all over globe throughout the year. It is located in South West India in the region known as the Konkan. This famous adventure laden place has cultural influences from the Portuguese also. They conquered it after landing in the early 16th century as merchants. Panaji and Vasco da Gama are two main cities with former as capital and latter as largest city. Goa has many spots to visit like the Bom Jesus Cathedral, Fort Aguada, Goa State Museum, and The Naval Aviation Museum, wax museum on Indian history, Goa Science Center, the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), old churches and heritages in old Goa.

Goa enjoys diversity in festivals as per religions and every year it hosts different fairs and carnivals. Also celebrated here are Shigmo Festival, Bonderam Festival and Zatra of Shantadurga. Goa carnival is a major 500 years old event every year in February in entire Goa for three days. The carnival shows street plays, songs, dances, parades, and feasting. Another way of enjoying the stay in Goa is Feast of St. Francis Xavier in Basilica of Bom Jesus, on 3rd December. This marks the death anniversary of Saint Francis Xavier. It lights up your visit with small fairs and carnival like ambience. Goa food has flavours of Mughals, Portuguese and Hindus who ruled it once. The taste of Goa will be to have Pork Vindaloo in which pork is cooked in spicy and oily gravy. Goan snack is Pao com Chouricos, fried Goan sausage, sauteed with onions. It is served with bread.

To see the architectural marvels and bygone history of Goa you have to visit churches, forts, and mosques. Like some of the churches in Goa are Se Cathedral, St. Anne Church, Church of St. Augustine, St. Cajetan Church, Church of St. Francis, St. Paul Church and famous forts are Cabo De Rama Fort, Chapora Fort, Terekhol Fort. Just not miss the four wildlife sanctuaries: Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, and Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Goa is also rich in water sports and provide you opportunity to enjoy your time with Jet Skiing, Parasailing, Scuba Diving etc. along with all this the waterfalls add to the treasure of Goa. Have a look to Dudhsagar Waterfalls and also its service in manufacturing spices at Goa Spice Plantations.

There are nearly eighteen beaches along Goa’s coastal line. These beaches are famous for hosting parties, marriages apart from daily celebrations. Arjuna beach, colva beach, miramar beach are some of them. Casinos and Goa’s nightlife is always a surprise for the person visiting first time. The stay in Goa in small huts and cottages add life to the tour in any time of the year as the weather here remains pleasant. Music is weakness of Goa and western classical music is listened widely here. Traditional forms of Goa’s music are Mando, Ovi, and Suvari.

Goa provides you all the relishing facilities and exotic locations and historical places to see which one hardly ever wants to miss. It is the city where people want to just come and live on without returning as it has it all which one wishes have around.
