It would be great if when one finally decided to buy their first home that all they had to do was put down a huge chunk of their savings and begin to pay off their purchase with their monthly mortgage, but that's not exactly how it happens. Sure, one makes a down payment in concert with great bank loans, and it is no surprise that these bank loans come with interest rates that will keep one paying off their investment for several decades, but this is the tip of the iceberg. One's mortgage payment will soon seem like a drop in the bucket when one begins to add up all the costs necessary to keep one's house up to date, minor repairs and replacements or updates aside at that. Just think about light bulbs for a moment. Sure, maybe they do not seem like a big deal, but in an entire house, there are a lot of light bulbs around, and one needs to be paying for each and every one. Yet, once they buy tens of light bulbs they will more importantly be paying to run them in their electric bill. That's right, there is the monthly electric bill to go along with one's mortgage, and it does not only mean paying for light. When you watch television, charge your computer, run the air conditioning, or maybe even have a dehumidifier on, one is paying into that monthly electric bill. This bill is in addition to what one pays for water, and or gas depending on the house they have purchased, too. These three bills together could equal a mortgage, but one still must add in the extras of, say, house insurance. After all, you do not want to skirt paying for house insurance. For example, one may be trying to cut expenses by not doing so and will have a tornado tear away their house, leaving them a pile of rubble with bills they still have to pay and all while paying to rebuild. That could be an astronomical cost, so it's best to take the monthly fee up front. One realizes then that to run a house costs just as much as it does to own it. Of course, what is even more dramatic are the the costs that go along with furnishing the house at first. All those new rooms need a place to sit, and that adds up fast, which is why thrift stores are the place to go.
The beauty with thrift stores is that they are located everywhere.
With some careful searching, one can get furnishings of their dreams.
Everything seems to exist here as well.
There are couches, chairs, picture frames, and even some good kitchen appliances.
If one stays with an open mind, they can have it all.
It will bring about thousands in savings and compete with anything new you might have gotten instead.
There is simply no excuse to not visit the many thrift stores available if one has found a new place to live. One will be able to put all that saved money back into those monthly bills they dread.
