Got Any Reserves?

Louis Armstrong sang, “We have all the time in the world.” Are you someone or do you know someone who has all the time in the world? What makes them tick?

Maybe they’re always punctual. Maybe they’re good at forward planning. Maybe they’ve accepted that everything can’t be done yesterday. Maybe they’re content with where they are. Crucially though, they always seem to have a reserve of time.

Reserves take the pressure off and give us peace of mind. If you have all the time in the world, you’ll never be stressed out chasing the clock. If you have financial reserves, you’ll never have to worry about being in debt. If you have physical and mental reserves, you’ll be up for every challenge that life throws at you today.

A reserve is not just about having enough or having more than enough but about having so much that you don’t need to worry about not having - whatever it is - any more. If having enough equates to a puddle and having more than enough equates to a pond, then having a reserve equates to a lake!

Resolve to have a reserve of whatever it is you always seem to be lacking.
