There are so many career options available for the youth in today’s world. From engineering, hotel management, MBBS, architecture, event management to interior designing, one can choose any option that suits his or her interests. However, the field that has attracted a large mass of crowd since years is the government sector. The main reason being this is job security, which is not offered by the private sector jobs. In this unpredictable world, where you can lose a job any minute, the government sector is a major relief. However, there are various mediums designed by the government to recruit people for various jobs. For example, exams are conducted by respective banks for entry into the banking sector and UPSC (union public service commission) conducts exams for entry to the civil services. Similarly, the SSC (Staff Selection Commission) is set up to recruit to non-technical and technical groups in the government of India. Bank exams:rnBank exams are conducted by the respective banks. They act as a medium for entry into various banks of India. An interview session follows the exam based on which the final recruitment is done for the required post. The main advantage in this career field is that student from any academic background can apply for the posts. It is a myth that only students from commerce background can be recruited for the posts. Civil Exams:rnThey are considered one of the toughest competitive exams for entry into a government job. However, once you clear the exams and the interview session you have a bright future and a luxuries life along with exciting benefits. Thousands of aspirants appear for the exam but only few are able to reach the interview level and fewer are finally recruited for the job. SSC:rnStaff selection commission is another medium to choose candidates for the various departments of the government. It is set up to recruit technical (group c) and non-gazette -technical and non-technical (group B) for various posts in the government sector. It conducts examination all over India for selection for various posts. There are various regional and sub regional offices of the commission which take care and supervise the work of SSC. Therefore, all these mediums, SSC, Bank exams and civil services exams, aim at recruiting eligible candidates for performing work in various fields of the government sector. They procedure for recruitment is purely unbiased and is done solely based on the performance of the individual in the exams and the interview round.
