I know it seems unbelievable at first, but that is the truth. There are various foods, which when taken in, will help increase the passive metabolic rate of your body, thus helping you to lose weight.

The foods I am about to mention are all natural; how they help you lose extra weight is due to the fact that they require the body to burn more calories in order to digest them and this will help you lose weight faster.

Most people feel that they grow fatter as they grow older. This is not just a psychological perception, but a fact. That change is due to the body being no longer able to burn calories as fast as it used to and due to this slower metabolic rate, more fats are accumulated. This fat not only exposes one to dangerous diseases but also reduces one's quality of life.

The next time you feel hungry, instead of binge eating, take a handful of beans as a small meal, and it makes your stomach feel full for a longer time.

Fish is an amazing source of protein as well as Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acid helps in reducing the level of leptin which stores fat in the body. Salmon, tuna and most fishes also contain this wonderful element.

Next, it is green tea! Most people like to take tea, especially in the mornings. If you want to lose weight faster, a quick way is to replace your morning drink with green tea.

Finally, grapes are great for weight loss. They are one of the best fruits to eat to lose weight. Stock your fridge with lot of fruits, especially grapes as they are known to have special slimming abilities in those that consume them.
