Great inspirational quotes about life, achievement, conquest and success have been something that I’ve used to comfort, inspire and motivate me throughout my adult life.

Any time I’d be feeling down, overwhelmed, worried or stressed then reading some inspirational quotes would always lift the gloom and provide a positive boost to get me back on track.

This was particularly the case during my pro rugby playing days.

As you may or may not know, I experienced a lot of down times during my time as a professional rugby player. Injuries and all the other stuff that went with it really did take its toll particularly with my mindset.

At times I was just at my wits end, not knowing what the hell to do, and wondering whether to pack it all in and pursue another dream.

But what always helped me through these times was something as simple as reading a few famous life quotes, or some famous inspirational sports quotes. They instantly lifted my mood, and helped me achieve a more positive frame of mind for me to continue moving forward.

Below are just a few of the great inspirational quotes that I have used and still use to this day. In fact I have all these and more pinned all around my office at home.
