Countries need to put more efforts in controlling the raging pollution that is making it difficult for people, plants, animals and birds and marine life to survive. Millions of trees are cut every year in the name of highway expansion, mining and property development. The US federal government is committed to reduce the pollution from is soil. But the government doesn’t want to compromise the growth and industrial development. Its objective is to achieve growth with sustainable source of energy. The government is promoting groups working for affordable housing and alternative power resources. Such groups can take advantage of green grants provided by federal government and continue their best efforts to save the planet.

Some non-profit organizations collect hazardous waste from residential and commercial areas for green recycling. This waste, if allowed to decompose in open, would release toxic waste and further pollute the environment. People throw their old handsets, used laptops and inkjets in the community trash and leave rest of the job for the government. But the rest of the job is done by social groups and the government helps them in their efforts. The green grants are for such groups that collect reusable items and make them functional again.

Green grants are for those who work for people living in desert area. Residents of desert have little resources and no access to community services. But some people are trying hard to develop resources in desert and providing them community services like medical, education and affordable household goods. Malls are built in cosmopolitan cities but big property builders don’t consider communities living in desert area their customers. These communities depend on small non-profit organizations for necessary items and facilities. The organizations get fund from different sources and they can also look at federally sponsored grants. The grants are also available from corporate groups and business families.

Many companies are working hard for developing solar panels that can tap the energy from the sun and convert it into ready-to-use electricity. Solar energy is the only way to meet the future energy demand. Thermal power and nuclear power electricity generators are not reliable as is evident from accidents happened in nuclear power stations. But there are no such apprehensions with solar energy. It is available for free and all you need to store energy is solar panels. The government and corporate groups are offering green grants to encourage people to come forward and develop solar panels.
